21 year-old Joey Votto went 2 for 4 with a HR, a BB, and 2 RBI. For the year he is .266/.342/.430. 17 doubles, 12 homers, 41 walks in 390 PAs.

Calvin Medlock a 39th Round draft pick in the 2002 draft pitched 5 2/3 of 3 hit, 1 ER ball. He walked 1 and struck out 7. For the year the 22 year-old has struck out 83 in 94 innings while walking only 19 with a 2.95 ERA. He should be in Chattanooga soon. He was awesome last year too, 111 ks, in 94 innings with only 21 walks and a 2.57 ERA. Is this a bright spot in the Reds ML System?

1st Round draft pick Jay Bruce went 2 for 4 with a R. .269/.309/.442. He hasn’t learned the strike zone yet, maybe that will come later.
