Wow, what a game. I’ve been home for a while, and I still can’t believe it.
I’ll have more on the game, including some pictures, later tonight and tomorrow. It was a great day, and the start of what I hope will be a special season for our Redlegs.
I was midway between here and Atlanta, so I didn’t have the luxury of seeing the game on TV, but I did have the luxury of hearing it on XM. In the past I had to depend on finding the odd game while traveling, but having XM is going to make it a lot easier to keep tabs on the Reds while traveling. I called both of Dunn’s homers, more out of hope than of any kind of mind meld. Then when Randa came to the plate I told my Dad that he was going to become an instant Cincinnati folk hero and win the game with a homer. I was really hoping that he’d just keep the inning alive, but I’ll take the homer.

What a beautiful game…the sight of Randa rounding the bases nearly brought me to tears
In a good way of course…
