Misc. Notes

Just a few things:

- Reds are on FSN tonight vs the Red Sox. Game starts at 6:05. Starts an odd 4 game stretch of 4 night games in a row.

- Encarnacion had two more hits yesterday and by every observer I’ve read has been the most impressive player in camp all spring. What do they say to this kid when they send him to Louisville?

- Reds are still “experimenting” with Claussen and Hancock (starting and relieving schedules). Both will make the team, one will start, the other relieve. Harang has only been on a starters schedule, so it’s obvious he’s won the #4 starter spot.

As for Encarnacion, it’s not a real difficult discussion, even though he may not like it.

He needs to prove his consistency in the field, and prove it over an extended period of time; and to show he can hit like he’s done every day. It sounds like he’s now on the fast track, and that’s great.

AND, he has to beat out Joe Randa. (What’s the icon for a sneer?)
