Today’s ST game

Reds win big, 10-2 over the Pirates.

Big Rob Stratton knocked two dingers, going 3-5 with 4 RBI. Good day for the young slugger.

Luis Lopez was also 3-5, and Dane Sardinha, of all people, had two knocks.

On the mound, Paul Wilson looked pretty good in his second start, giving up one run and two hits in three innings of work. Robertson, Belisle, and Keisler each pitched scoreless, hitless innings, before Ryan Wagner allowed a run in his only inning of work.

Ex-Red note: looks like Jon Nunnaly had a double for the Bucs.

UPDATE: More on Stratton, from Marc Lancaster:

Back in Sarasota, Stratton said his day at the plate got the monkey off his back. Apparently, in his world, going two Grapefruit League games without a homer constitutes a monkey.

Heh. I’m going to like this kid Stratton.
